My name is Brooke House, and I have many years of experience as an administrative professional and office manager, primarily in finance and property management. My experience has taught me a great deal in regard to helping manage an office and serve clients positively and efficiently. I always strive to provide friendly, prompt, goal-driven support to my team and our clients to ensure a smooth and happy process, start to finish!

Outside of the office, I thrive spending quality time with my husband, two girls, and four fur babies! I also enjoy creating art, gardening, playing games, and working with my husband to renovate our home. In recent years, I’ve taken a particular interest in the world of real estate. I’m thrilled to be a part of and grow with a team that is not only committed to providing the highest quality appraisals, but providing that quality of service with integrity and client satisfaction as the top priority.

Appraisal Associate - Jason Utlaut

Jason Utlaut has recently retired from the education field to pursue a new career in Home Residential Appraisals.

I’ve always found Real estate very interesting and currently have one rental home as well as my personal residence here in Platte County. Home Appraisals is another form of education. Clients come to us with everything from a new construction of a new house to a refinance of a house that was built in the 1800s. Our job is to educate the clients on what their home is worth and then walk them through how we gathered that information, to get the most accurate information possible. Platte County and the surrounding areas are growing rapidly, especially the single family home market.

I am doing everything I can to learn the business and to continue to grow in an ever changing and exciting environment. I’m very excited to be part of the Appraisals by Mac team!

In addition to spending time learning about appraisals, my interests are reading, spending time with my wife and daughter, as well as our two dogs.  I also thoroughly enjoy watching Mizzou football and the Chiefs! KC is Home of the CHIEFS!

OUR APPRAISAL PROCESS

To verify the true condition of the property, it is incumbent upon us to conduct a comprehensive inspection initially. This entails physically examining various features such as the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, the property’s location, amenities, and so forth, to confirm their existence and assess their condition. Additionally, to ensure the accuracy of the stated size and to depict the layout of the property accurately, it is often necessary to create a floorplan sketch during the inspection. Crucially, the appraiser seeks out any discernible amenities or defects that could impact the house’s value.

Following the inspection, the appraiser employs two or three approaches to determine the property’s value: comparative sales analysis, cost approach, and in the case of rental properties, an income approach.
